Elizabeth wants to invite readers to question the role of struggle in their lives & how much of it is actually necessary or real. We’ve been raised to believe life has to be hard, but is that true? Do we really have to struggle that much in order to be successful? What would happen if we allowed our intuition to lead the way? She believes that by shifting our mindset, we can begin to envision easier ways of handling life & accept its challenges as opportunities for transformation rather than painful burdens.
Elizabeth had a strict upbringing; she had many challenges including being a high school drop out, divorce, raising her son as a single mom & spent many years plagued by darkness, shame, & self-doubt. Through a series of powerful experiences, she was able to heal her internal wounds, rise in her industry as an award-winning stylist, own a salon, speak on stages & help thousands of others. Back in 2017, she launched Hair Love, a successful international education business that offers retreats, mastermind meetings, workshops for beauty industry professionals and so much more. She believes this kind of success is possible for everyone regardless of the industry they work in. If she, “a girl who’s been through a lot of hard shit” can do it, anyone can.
This book will consist of a series of stories from Elizabeth’s life & the lessons she has learned as a result of each, along with fun diary-esque activities like coloring book pages, poetry, free-write prompts, & more. By sharing her knowledge, she aims to inspire & empower her readers, helping them to heal & break through self-limiting beliefs. What’s available to each of us in our lives? How can we accept these things as opportunities to transform? With this as our focus, we can begin to manifest the life we desire.
